Managed Service on behalf of
Outdoor PSRN
Provision
Effective ‘ PSRN
Provision’ would include many features. This should:
- Include a range of materials that enable children to count,
sort, match, weigh, measure, compare etc.
- Offer opportunities for children to investigate with the
support of resources such as magnifying glasses, sorting trays and
scales
- Have appropriate resources displayed for that age-range. For
example, number-lines, number squares, shapes and patterns
- Have clearly labelled and accessible resources which can be
transported to all areas in the learning environment – PSRN occurs
across all areas of learning
- Be evident outdoors. For example, bike number plates and
numbered parking spaces, washing lines for numbers, number trails
and sand and water play
- Be enhanced according to children’s interests, possible themes
and on-going observations.
