(local safeguarding children’s board) local guidance and
procedures
- Admissions Policy
- Equality of Opportunity Policy including policy for supporting
children with learning difficulties and disabilities
- Complaints Policy and Procedure
- Procedure to be followed in the event of a parent failing to
collect a child at the appointed time
- Procedure to be followed in the event of a child going
missing
- Arrival and Departure procedures
- Procedure for supervision of children on outings
- Policy on administering medicines
- Procedure for children who are ill or infectious
- No smoking policy
- Behaviour management policy
- Health and Safety policy and procedures
- Procedure for emergency evacuation of the premises
The above list is for guidance only and may
not cover all the policies and procedures required by individual
settings.
Schools will not be required to have
separate policies for the EYFS provided that the requirements are
met through their policies which cover children of statutory school
age.
Childminders will be expected to ensure
that any assistants are aware of all policies and procedures, and
that they are able to clearly define them for parents and others as
and when requested. However, it will not be necessary for
childminders to have written copies of these policies and
procedures.
