Tuff Spots
Recommended Resource:
Tuff Spots
Large commercial cement trays which are usually hexagonal in shape
How can this be used?
An essential resource which I would strongly recommend. These can be positioned on the floor, on tables and outside. Each large tray can help to bring small world to life. I recently saw a farmyard in one, together with hay, weetabix, water, fabrics, real grass and much more. Another in a setting was used as a swamp with water, rocks, bubble wrap, weed, sand and all sort of dangerous creatures within it. If you add paper to the base, you can also encourage mark-making. They can be left out and moved with ease, and because of the rim, children can add to them according to their interests. Be creative, and if you have not got any, do consider it!
Where can I find this resource:
DIY Stores and Educational Suppliers (approximately £12.00)
