Recommended Resource - Janice Reid
Placemats
Recommended Resource:
Placemats
Laminated snack-time placemat made with the children's photos from home.
How can this be used?
The children should be involved in making this resource with their choice of photos. Families could support by providing photos of key family members, pets or places of significance for the child. The placemat should be freely available for independent use as part of continuous provision at all meal/snack times. The idea could be adapted for personalising carpet squares or for an attachment photo book from home. Excellent provision for SEAD and CLL.
Where can I find this resource:
Honeypots Preschool Gainsborough have some good examples to look at but otherwise photos are accessed via good keyperson communications with parent/carers.
