Due to a substantial reduction in the Birth to Five Service, Workforce Development budget, we regret that we are no longer able to offer financial assistance for staff cover whilst staff are out of the setting on training courses. 

Of course staff will need to continue to update the skills and knowledge in order to meet the statutory requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and the settings EYE (Early Years Entitlement) contract, but it will be the responsibility of the setting owner to ensure that this is completed.
 
As a result of the necessary budget restraints, we have purchased many more e-learning courses, providing the opportunity to train from home or the setting.  This is available to those who enjoy learning in this way but will not replace the whole range of taught courses that will be available for those who prefer the face to face classroom based courses that have always been successful.
